In the Hafsia district of Tunis, a poor man named Banoun lived by begging in the markets. Every day, he carried a tabouna bread which he split in two for his meals.في حومة الحفصية بتونس، عاش رجل فقير يُدعى بانون، كان يقتات على التسول في الأسواق ويحمل معه خبزة طابونة يقسمها إلى نصفين.
A Simple Idea Becomes a Legend | فكرة بسيطة تصنع أسطورة
Banoun first filled his bread with olives, then added tomato slices and harissa. A jeweler named Attia, whose shop was across the street, noticed the sandwich and asked to taste it.بدأ بانون بحشو الطابونة بالزيتون، ثم أضاف الطماطم والهريسة. لاحظ عطية الصائغي ما يأكله بانون وطلب أن يتذوقه.
From Beggar to Street Vendor | من التسول إلى البيع
